Future-Proof, Lead Generating Site Prepared for a Seamless Migration

MiTek is the leading global supplier of building products, workflow software, and manufacturing equipment for the residential, commercial, and industrial construction sectors. They collaborate across the building industry to enable and accelerate transformational breakthroughs in design and construction, both on-site and off-site. 

The Problem

MiTek was looking to improve their website, which was built on Ektron Content Management System (CMS). The current site did not render on mobile devices, was difficult to update and manage, and provided a poor user experience. The website required a complete overhaul to meet Mitek’s goals of elevating the brand, showing commitment to excellence and making competition irrelevant.

Adage guided MiTek and offered resources from project strategy to full website design and development resulting in a strong, visually engaging and user-friendly site that the next generation of home builders and lumber yard suppliers can utilize.

Content Management System

MiTek chose to leverage their investment with Ektron until they were ready to upgrade to Optimizely. Although Ektron lacked in support services, usability and site speed, Adage experts could rebuild the site in preparation for a future migration to Optimizely.

Optimizely, a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant, is technically sound, developer and end-user friendly, and has a strong API that allows integrations with little effort. The team at Adage built the Ektron site to ensure a seamless future migration.

Website Development

Adage built a modular editing interface for MiTek using Ektron’s Smart Forms, similar to Optimizely’s content block model. The modular Smart Forms not only make it easier for the MiTek team to add and edit content, but also prepare them for a future migration to Optimizely.

Their modules provide a solid starting point for an Ektron to Optimizely upgrade, as opposed to a site using only Ektron’s Page Builder.

Lead Generation

Adage developed custom web forms which integrate MiTek’s site with HubSpot to capture lead data. Converted leads are now automatically sent to their marketing team.

HubSpot also integrates with their social channels to provide rich analytics and reporting capabilities, increasing conversions throughout the new website and allowing the MiTek team to connect with their audience where it matters most.

Responsive Design

Adage completed an impressive, responsive design that looks beautiful on any device. MiTek now presents a strong, visually engaging and user-friendly site that the next generation of home builders and lumber yard suppliers can utilize.
