The First Truly Bilingual Site
in the Tessitura Network

The Royal Danish Theatre, founded in 1748, is the royal performing arts institution of Denmark. The RDT presents a wide spectrum of drama and music, including hosting the Royal Danish Ballet and the Royal Danish Orchestra.
An outdated website and content management system proposed multiple challenges for The Royal Danish Theater. A poor user experience and counter-intuitive purchase path made it difficult for patrons to find and purchase tickets. Plus, it was difficult and time-consuming to make even simple updates with the CMS.
Adage rebuilt RDT’s site with an easy-to-edit CMS that suffices their bilingual requirements, seamlessly integrates with their Tessitura database and provides patrons with an intuitive purchase-path that includes select-your-own-seat technology.



Easy-to-edit Content Management System
Adage implemented Optimizely content management system to serve as the backbone of the site. The Optimizely CMS allows for RDT to edit their website in real time even with limited IT staff, and supports fully-bilingual content. The website is the first completely bilingual site built for a member of the Tessitura Network.

Intuitive Purchase-Path
Adage implemented a complete ecommerce solution, ACE Platform. ACE Platform, built on Optimizely, integrates the RDT site seamlessly with their Tessitura database to provide purchase path templates and advanced CRM functionality. ACE Platform allows RDT to easily configure single ticket and subscription sales options from within their CMS. Adage also implemented SmartSeat, our select-your-own-seat solution, to allow visitors to easily find the perfect seat using an intuitive, visual purchase path.

Brand and Design Strategy
