The Philadelphia Orchestra has been praised by The Philadelphia Inquirer for providing calm and serene virtual concerts. With a new “Digital Stage” presentation each week, listeners have access to on-demand performances that are merging stunning sounds with emotional messages.

American Academy of Pediatrics

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the American Academy of Pediatrics released new clinical interim guidance on supporting children, adolescents and families during this stressful time. As noted by The New York Times, the guidance outlines how children and adolescents display stress differently, including the signs of stress for all age groups, and what parents can do to help their kids cope.

The Kennedy Center

New live performances from The Kennedy Center were featured in Broadway World for their innovation in keeping a safe social distance between audience members. Through their On Stage at the Opera House series, where a handful of shows are sold out including An Evening with Norm Lewis, patrons are able to engage with the arts again.

Arizona Science Center

After successfully leading the Arizona Science Center for the past 15 years, Chevy Humphrey will be leaving for a new opportunity with a major museum. Next year, The Phoenix Business Journal announced that Humphrey will be the president and CEO of Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry. She is making history as the first woman and the first Black American to lead the Museum of Science and Industry. We’re thrilled about her next move and look forward to her continued success. 

The Met Museum

The pandemic has caused many museums to postpone opening dates for exhibits. As reported by TIME, The Met Museum waited six months to open their exhibit About Time: Fashion and Duration. Now patrons can safely walk-through the exhibit by purchasing timed entry tickets or they can explore the exhibit from a guided video tour.  

American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry

In an effort to keep patients safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Foundation recently donated one 50-count box supply of KN95 masks to all practicing AAPD member pediatric dentists. Routine oral care is crucial to keeping children healthy. With the proper PPE equipment, patients can return to visiting their pediatric dentist without worry.

Midland Center for the Arts

In an article shared by Broadway World, Midland Center for the Arts was recognized for its dedication to offering diverse programming and events that promote equity and inclusion within their community. As part of that commitment, the Center invited human rights activist and playwright, Ricardo Perez Gonzalez, for an exclusive virtual event for their Masters Series.

St. Louis Symphony Orchestra

This past October, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra reinstated a series of in-person concerts. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch wrote about the new safety-measures for live audiences and promoted the music that the chamber-sized ensemble will play this season. Many people, including their music director, are elated about the return to live, in-person performances.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago

Given restrictions around in-person performances, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago decided to make their season completely digital. The Chicago Sun-Times covered the first of five films planned for the season, diving into its important message about inequality in Chicago’s neighborhoods as well as the powerful creativity behind Rena Butler’s “A Tale of Two.” While adhering to COVID-19 restrictions presented challenges to their rehearsal process, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago connected via video to create their work.
