We’re excited to announce Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® (Mainstreet) was named one of the Best Association Websites by REAL Trends Website Rankings in 2018. Officially, Mainstreet took second place in the Association/Regional MLS division of the real estate website rankings.


REAL Trends. Inc., the undisputed leader and trusted source of news, analysis, and information in residential real estate, recently released the top residential real estate brokerage, team and association/MLS websites in its 2018 REAL Trends Website Rankings. Winning websites include design elements that are considered to be the latest trends and demonstrate being used the right way to showcase beautiful associations.

This year, the REAL Trends web consultants reviewed nearly 130 residential real estate websites solely based on their excellence in the following categories: Best Overall, Best Video Strategy, Best Design, Best Property Detail Page, Best Community Page, Best Mobile Experience and Best Association Website. In addition to the brokerage and team websites, for the first time ever, REAL Trends also ranked Realtor® Association websites. “Our team analyzed all aspects of these websites, everything from brand messaging, transitions between desktop to mobile, design, navigation and the user experience,” says Brent Driggers, web strategist for REAL Trends.

“A brokerage’s or team’s website is often the first interaction a real estate buyer or seller has with the firm. It’s important that it be clear, attractive and easy to use,” says Steve Murray, president of REAL Trends. “REAL Trends web consultants have spent the last three months reviewing 130 brokerage and team websites to rank them in six critical areas. Real estate brands now have the ability to see the very best residential real estate websites from across the country and compare their websites to these sites. It is a valuable tool to be able to benchmark one’s own website efforts with their peers.

Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® has a long history of serving REALTORS® and the communities their members reside, work and volunteer. Today, with more than 17,000 members, Mainstreet and their members cover more than 200 municipalities in DuPage County, Lake County and Western and Southern Suburban Cook County, Illinois.

Mainstreet chose Adage Technologies for the rebrand, redesign, and implementation of a new website due to Adage’s use of Agile Scrum methodology, budget-focused project managers and innovative design expertise.

The project began with Adage’s design team guiding Mainstreet through a discovery process that helped determine important aspects of user experience and site’s information architecture. Adage chose an easy-to-edit content management system, Episerver as it easily integrates with even niche database management programs. The new web design and development launch also included a personalized member center that represents Mainstreet’s goal of serving their members well.
